2019 Yamaha Australian National Band Championships

This year the Gunnedah Shire Band will be travelling to Brisbane to compete in the 2019 Yamaha Australian National Band Championships. Gunnedah will compete in the B Grade section and quite a few competing in solo events as well. We will not be entering a junior band this year. The competition starts on Thursday, April 18 for the solo and ensemble competitions. The Gunnedah Shire Band will commence on Friday, April 19 through to Sunday, April 21.

Soloists will be performing across the river at the Griffith University Conservatorium of Music in the sprawling parklands of Southbank on Thursday, while the recently refurbished Brisbane City Hall will be the venue for the on-stage band events.
